Obviously there several types/styles of condominiums,
including carriage homes and townhomes, with or without garages.
Building styles also vary greatly. Highrises tend to be on the
water, on the Gulf of Mexico along the Cape Coral/Fort
Myers/Naples coastlines and on the islands of Sanibel and
Captiva. Downtown Fort Myers also has some new highrises on the
Caloosahatchee River. Square footage ranges anywhere from under
1,000 square feet to over 3,500 square feet.
One of the problems that have faced many new condo communities
that were built around the "height of the market," is absentee
ownership and investors walking away from their condo purchases.
